Acrisure for Cancer Prevention

This morning, a special event was held at the Sassari headquarters of Acrisure Italia to mark the occasion of World Cancer Day; where Acrisure was turned pink. 

The event was dedicated to employees to raise awareness of the importance of cancer prevention and screening.  

Dr. Giuseppe Norcia gave a detailed talk on the importance of preventive cancer screenings. He emphasised that cancer is the second leading cause of death in the world, with the most common cancers being breast, lung and skin cancer. Furthermore, he reminded us that the Italian national health service offers free screening to the population to promote early diagnosis. 

To support this initiative, Acrisure showed its dedication and involvement by donating to the AIRC Foundation for the "Arance della Salute" (Oranges for Health) Campaign. This gesture made the event even more meaningful, while giving employees and everyone involved a small gift, amplifying the impact of this awareness initiative promoted by Acrisure to encourage the well-being of its employees. 

The event was further enriched by guest speakers from Dinamo Banco di Sardegna, with the participation of general manager Jack Devecchi and players Filip Kruslin, Enrico Ghione and Alessandro Cappelletti. The presence of these members of the Dinamo basketball team helped to create an even stronger atmosphere of sharing and awareness, highlighting not only the importance of prevention and early diagnosis in fighting the disease, but also the importance of a healthy lifestyle. 

In addition, the active participation of Acrisure employees made the event fundamental in promoting and encouraging a culture of prevention within the company.
